Isla Margarita is very diverse however it is no problem to stay in one location on the Island and explore all the other areas. For instance the most popular beach area is Playa El Agua. From there you can explore the far reaches of Macanao on day trips with a rental car. The drive from Playa El Agua to Macanao is only about 55 minutes on very good roads. All other areas of the Island are even closer,
La Asunción is only 15 minutes away while Porlamar is about 25 minutes.
The golf course at Pedrogonzalez is only 10 minutes from Playa El Agua.
